COMMUNITIES
Institutions, organizations and corporate companies can cover subscription fee for specific groups of people such as employees or beneficiaries of their projects to access health information, exercise preventive measures and stay healthy. Users can be subscribed for an annual fee of TZS 4,000 (€1.85)
INSURANCE COMPANIES
By lowering health illiteracy among its clients and investing in preventive healthcare through Mobile Afya, insurance companies reduce expenditures in covering treatment costs for preventable diseases. It also increases the likelihood of detecting individuals at risk and begin treatment early.
SPECIAL GROUPS
We believe in the inclusive right to know without leaving anyone behind. Together with partners we work to mobilize funds that will allow us to provide health information to special groups such as people living with disabilities, refugees, people living with chronic diseases and more.
We are looking for partners, organization and companies to finance / sponsor subscriptions of groups such as, people living with disabilities, those living in extreme poverty (in rural areas), youth and people living with chronic diseases such as HIV.
MOBILE AFYA FEATURES
DISEASES ( HEALTH CONDITIONS)
Mobile Afya covers non-communicable diseases (NCDs), neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and HIV / AIDS. Now any Tanzanian with a mobile phone can access correct and scientifically verified health information anytime on her / his phone.
COVID-19
Mobile Afya provides vital information on the global pandemic by dispensing COVID-19 information covering the diseases itself, symptoms and preventive measures including social distancing, proper use of masks and handwashing.
SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH
Mobile Afya covers menstrual health and maternal health. Women can now access a period calendar tracker with information about predictions of next period, ovulation and fertility window but it also equips mothers with basic knowledge of how to maintain a healthy pregnancy.
FIRST AID
Mobile Afya equips local communities with information on how to give immediate assistance to a person suffering from illness or injury before taking them to a health center or hospital. This aims to preserve life, prevent the emergency condition from worsening, or to promote recovery.
NUTRITION EDUCATION
Mobile Afya educates the general public on healthy dietary practices so as to influence healthier lifestyles related to food consumption patterns. Nutrition information is aiming to improve quality of life, reduce the risk of chronic diseases and contribute to health promotion of our communities.
GBV & VAC
Mobile Afya covers Gender based violence and violence against children topic by providing a detailed overview and measures to take to prevent and respond to violence, exploitation, neglect and abuse domestically and against children.
PARENTING TOOLS
Mobile Afya focuses on adolescent health by providing a general understanding to parents on topics such as adolescence, sexually transmitted diseases, sex education and healthy tips to strengthen sexual and reproductive health literacy.
